The former Cowboy ran an unofficial Pro Day-best 4.51 in the 40-yard dash.
"I think I did pretty good,” Booker said. "I’m kind of happy with my performance today.”
Any questions about his heart or passion can be answered by watching one play: Booker’s goal-line stop against Ole Miss’ 330-pound defensive tackle Jerrell Powe
was one of the most impressive plays of the Cowboys’ 2009 season.
"I’ve talked to a couple of coaches,” he said. "They want to see me on special teams, and that would be my chance to see what I can do in the preseason.”
ANTOINE IMPROVES NUMBERS
After recording 28 reps at 225 pounds in the bench press at the NFL Combine, best among safeties in attendance, Lucien Antoine
had another solid showing for NFL scouts on Wednesday.
"I felt comfortable coming in,” Antoine said. "I went to the Combine and did a lot of things coaches like.”
The former Cowboy safety recorded a 33.5-inch vertical jump and ran an unofficial 4.62 in the 40-yard dash for scouts on Wednesday.
"I feel pretty good,” Antoine said. "A lot of teams said they like the way I play the game (without) being scared; a lot of people play the game and they are scared. They know I work hard and bring a lot to the table.”
The 6-foot, 215-pounder said he expects to be selected in the fifth to seventh round.
"It depends on what the teams want,” Antoine said. "I’m just going to keep praying and keep working hard.”
