Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden met with the media after the Cowboys' 37-31 loss to Iowa State. Here's a look at what Weeden had to say:
Iowa State had an extra week to prepare for your offense. Did they do anything you hadn't seen on film?
Not so much. It was one of those deals where we just misfired on a lot of different deals. Overall, I think I threw the ball pretty well. We had a lot of guys open, guys made a lot of big-time catches. Two of the interceptions were tipped balls just going straight up in the air. Those are things you really can't control, but those are still on me.
How do you rally the guys after this loss?
It's all about our attitude on Sunday, how we go about it on Sunday. Here's the deal — as much as it stings right now, there's nothing we can do about it. That's kind of the approach you have to take. You've got to learn from it. These are the games you really do learn a lot from. It's going to be my job, as kind of the leader and the voice of this team, to be positive.
Did you think you'd see this offense held scoreless after the first possession of the second half?
We gave them five extra possessions. I don't care if you're on the road, at home, it doesn't matter. You can't give another team five possessions.
