No one expected a Dez Bryant-like performance. But Anyiam dropped a sure touchdown pass that would have given the Cowboys a first-quarter lead, then fumbled when OSU was driving down 3-0 early in the second quarter. Anyiam finished with five catches for 62 yards.

Black shirts — A

The OSU students mounted a campaign to wear black, and while the stadium looks cool in solid orange, the massive sections of black added a surreal Halloween feel.

Brazenness — A

Give the Cowboys this. They came to play. Mike Gundy ordered a quarterback sneak on 4th-and-1 from his 28-yard line two minutes into the game, plus a hurry-up 4th-and-4 pass in the second quarter from the UT 45.

Containing Shipley — C

Texas flanker Jordan Shipley had six catches for 64 yards, which is acceptable. But all six catches came in the first half and helped UT build a commanding 24-7 lead.

Fair play — D

You can argue about the calls and non-calls all night, and this game had its share. But the halftime entertainment wasn't on the up and up. Basketball players Keiton Page and Andrea Riley raced in human hamster balls. But race organizers impeded Page's progress, though he won anyway.

Kicking game — C

Dan Bailey missed a 45-yard field goal on OSU's first possession and the Cowboys got no big returns. But OSU forced a muffed punt by Shipley that gave the Cowboys a scoring opportunity.

4 interceptions and the 2 bogus calls by the cheating Big 12 officials was the story of the game.

The OSU defense held Texas to under 300 yards and played well enough to win.

Barry, I thought you were better than that. No wonder you took up for Jenni so diligently. You can throw individual kids under the bus with the best of them.

I think the defense deserves at least an "A-" or "B+", they held Texas to less than 300 yards and if you look at the stats, OSU actually outgained Texas. But for ball security, I'd say "F-"

Colt McCoy looked like a heisman trophy winner tonight and the Cowboys didn't have the man power to stop him. We can hope for next year.
