Contrary to an Internet report, Oklahoma State running back Kendall Hunter's status for Saturday's OSU-Texas game is unchanged.

According to an OSU source, Hunter will go through pregame warm-ups and then it will be a game-time decision on whether he'll play.

ESPN's Joe Schad reported Friday morning that Hunter, who has been out with an ankle injury, would play against the No. 3 Longhorns.

In two games this season, Hunter has 32 carries for 114 yards and one touchdown. He gained 1,555 yards and ran for 14 TDs last season for OSU (No. 14 BCS, No. 13 AP).

Agree w comment about inserting Hunter now might mess w chemistry but remember Hunter is a "homerun hitter" where the other two backs are tough but average speed.
If UT stops run tonight the Horns will win easily,if not it will be a good game.

Yes, Unsub. It must be all about him. Sitting on the sidelines usually leads to a lot of personal recognition. Or he could know that he is not well enough to contribute. And dont throw out the NFL bs. No way does he come out after sitting most of the year.

Hunter has quit. He was released a couple weeks ago to play, but he doesn't want to. It must be all about him and not the team.

Hunter just needs to be Toston's backup at this point. Throwing him in there might screw with the chemistry. Toston's doing very well...GO POKES!
