The university announced Tuesday it had surpassed the number of season tickets it sold in 2004 following the Cowboys' appearance in the Cotton Bowl.

Through this week, Oklahoma State has sold 38,590 season tickets. That's 86 more than were sold in 2004.

The record comes after athletic director Mike Holder announced that tickets to the Bedlam rivalry game against Oklahoma would only be available as part of the season-ticket package.

Single-game tickets are being sold for the rest of Oklahoma State's schedule.

There were 45,001 fans in attendance for last weekend's season opener against Houston as Oklahoma State opened its new west end zone seating area.

OK Slim, thanks.

Jacob, we were there Saturday, we are the ones that filled the stadium. The old osu fans were the 15,000 that were missing. But within the next couple weeks, we'll have those seats also. Just remember to thank every Sooner fan you see for buying your team and supporting it........Pistols Firing.......
Barry, Soetoro - Sep 11, 2008 at 8:50 pm
You guys are all jerk offs.
julie, Oklahoma City - Sep 11, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Hey Slim, whatever you have been smoking, you got your moneys worth. That was the apex of audacity and arrogance. No wonder you guys like yourselves so much and no one else does. Call this number, 877-ALL-4-OSU, and tell them your story. They might feel sorry for you and let you in.
Bobby, Edmond - Sep 11, 2008 at 5:51 pm
Well Slim, I can't wait to see all 21,000 of those OU fans who bought season tickets. Thanks for the essay on this topic. Boomer Sooner! Top Daug forever!
Jacob, Kansas - Sep 11, 2008 at 5:01 pm
OSU (OU#2) fans, we own your team. You no longer have an opinion. Holder put your team up for sale when he made us buy season tickets to watch bedlam, we came thru with 21,000 season tickets. This is our second team now. Whenever you see a Sooner fan, thank him for supporting the team you couldn't. Just stay out of our way, we are going to have 2 winning University of Oklahoma's in the state. We will probably fire Gundy after the season and put Barry Switzer in his place. OSU(Oklahoma's Second University) has been a looser for over a 100 years, but since we bought the team, we will probably play for a National Championship within 4 years. You're welcome Aggies. Just remember to thank all the Sooner fans for making your school a winner........ Pistols Firing........
Barry, Soetoro - Sep 11, 2008 at 4:50 pm
Gary, Just to make sure you don't misunderstand, we would much rather have 10,000 empty seats than 10,000 Sooner fans stinking up the place. Watch it at home and quit your belly aching. If you want to complain some more, call Holder and discuss it with him.
Bobby, Edmond - Sep 11, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Good Gary, so OU losers like you can't come. Fine by me. Stay home and watch it with your cousins.
Jacob, Kansas - Sep 11, 2008 at 1:58 pm
A couple of posters here still don't have a clue how Holder's plan guarantees no sell-outs, even bedlam will have thousands of empty seats except to hold cokes and popcorn buckets.

Really Slim, 21,000 were OU fans? You sure about that "slam" on OSU? Go Sooners! TOP DAUG!

Season ticket sales up to 38,590. Holder's plan did work, 21,000 were OU fans buying those season tickets. OU fans now have two teams. OSU can't be like OU on their own so Holder sold out to OU fans. We will make the cowboys winners for you. You are in the new era of OSU football. Old fans stay out of the way. And stay off both our message boards, any article written about OU or OSU belong to OU fans, we bought and paid for them.
Barry, Soetoro - Sep 10, 2008 at 10:51 pm
Everyone please stop responding to the bogus Jacob (the one that likes men). He just wants to get us to reply. If we don't, we can ruin his so-called life.

Guys, Jacob Likesmen went to Cameron U. It is no surprise he likes to make us mad. He can't handle the fact that he never went to OU. Just ignore him. He can't even get into a Cameron game, let alone an OU game.

Jacob please do us all a favor and go crawl back under your rock. School enrollment has a lot to do with which conference you play in you dolt. Besides in your line of thinking...OSU is in the W column every year so why worry? Or is it that we do win. Ark State indeed. ROTHFLMAO!

"Please just one Aggie admit that Holder's plan was idiotic when there are 10,000+ empty seats for the Bedlam game." Why admit something that's inaccurate? Holder's plan is brilliant. We've sold more season tickets that ever before and that more than makes up for not selling a few measly single game tickets to a few measly loud mouth boomers. And, even with 15,000 empty seats, IT WILL LOOK EXACTLY LIKE IT LOOKED IN THE OPENER --- FULL.

Not a true OU fan? I'm only 18 years old and I've been to every home game since I was 10. And now I live 2 and a half hours away...and I'm still making the drive every year. Only 5,000 get to go to the game in Stillwater. Do you know how many season ticket holders there are? Big Donors get those tickets. And how am I a bandwaggoner if I've always supported the Sooners? I was watching OU football games with my dad when I was 5 (During the Blake years) I've always been a Sooner and would continue to be at the games even if we were 0-12. And I support the other sports to thank you very much

No. That's not true Jerry! Pond Creek is known for having the worst schools in Oklahoma and for producing a ton of meth'd out Aggies.

Nicole seems to know quite a lot about meth. I beieve that a characteristic of chronic meth use is a loss of teeth. Pond Creek is not a big meth producing town, but nearby Medford has a reputation for it.
