By the numbers

195: Number of minutes the start of the game was delayed because of a severe thunderstorm that blew through the Tulsa area. Kickoff was pushed back to 12:15 a.m. Sunday morning.

24,563: The announced paid attendance. How many of those fans actually stayed for the start of the game is another story. Even less were still in their seats when the second half began.

119: The return yardage gained by Justin Gilbert, 96 coming on his first-quarter kickoff return for a touchdown. He also had an interception return for 24 yards.

8: The total number of turnovers in the game, six by the Golden Hurricane.

7: Consecutive games that OSU running back Jeremy Smith has scored in. His 6-yard touchdown run in the third quarter gave the Cowboys a 44-6 lead.

9: The number of players that have scored this season for the Cowboys. Gilbert became the eighth with his kickoff return for a touchdown, and Hubert Anyiam became the ninth with his 36-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter.

365: The number of rushing yards for the Golden Hurricane, by far the most given up my OSU this season. Ja'Terian Douglas and Trey Watts both gained more than 100 yards on the ground, the first time a pair of Tulsa backs have done that since 2006.
