OSU women's basketball: Three things to watch for Saturday's Bedlam game

The Cowgirls enter Bedlam — in Norman — unbeaten on the road. No. 11-ranked Oklahoma State has not won a women's basketball game at Lloyd Noble Center since 1998.

Coming off a 49-48 squeaker at TCU, Oklahoma State makes a slightly shorter road trip to face Bedlam rival Oklahoma at the Lloyd Noble Center Saturday afternoon.

Here are three things to watch as the No. 11 Cowgirls take on the Sooners.

ROAD WARRIORS

OSU is 4-0 in Big 12 road games for the first time in school history. That mark includes victories at Hilton Coliseum and Allen Fieldhouse.

But, like the men's squad, winning in front of the rowdy crowd in Norman has been a particular struggle for the Cowgirls. They haven't captured a victory inside Lloyd Noble Center since 1998.

OSU clearly has more weapons and more depth than the Sooners this season. Can this bunch get over that Norman hump?

STARTING SWITCH

With more depth this season, Cowgirl coach Jim Littell has not been afraid to tinker with the starting lineup.

In December, he made the decision to go small, replacing post Kendra Suttles with guard Brittany Atkins. But after scoring a career-high 15 points against Baylor, freshman Roshunda Johnson replaced Atkins and made her first-career start against TCU. She scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting and sunk the game-winner with nine seconds to play.
