OSU women's basketball: Tiffany Bias' basket with 1.5 seconds left gives OSU a win

The Cowgirls avoided an upset loss at Texas Tech when Bias sinks an uncontested layup. OSU next plays 7 p.m. Wednesday against Iowa State in Stillwater.

LUBBOCK, Texas — Tiffany Bias scored the winning basket with 1.5 seconds left Sunday, lifting No. 12-ranked Oklahoma State to a 63-62 Big 12 women's basketball victory over upset-minded Texas Tech.

A crowd of 4,726 in United Spirit Arena watched Bias take the inbounds pass and speed toward the OSU basket. She dodged Tech defender Amber Battle and scored on an uncontested layup.

Battle had previously given the Red Raiders a 62-61 advantage on a three-point play with 7.1 seconds remaining.

OSU improved to 21-5 overall and 10-5 in the league. Texas Tech fell to 6-20 and 0-15.

Bias had 22 points and eight assists, both game highs. Liz Donohoe added 17 points, nine coming off 3-pointers.

Battle led Texas Tech with 19 points and a game-best 10 rebounds.

Oklahoma State had a 10-point lead with 10:23 left in the first half, but the Red Raiders managed a 29-29 tie at intermission. The game was tied nine times, and the teams exchanged leads 12 times.

OSU next plays 7 p.m. Wednesday against Iowa State in Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
