e Gator must take a Big 12 team one of the next two seasons and would probably prefer to have its choice this year, when it knows the conference is strong, rather than chance it next season.

•Holiday Bowl Chance of getting there: 13 percent What it would take: Eight or nine wins Why it might not happen: At worst, the Holiday Bowl will select the conference's No. 4 team. Considering there are currently four Big 12 teams in the top 10, OSU will need to beat one or two of those teams to climb that high.

•Insight Bowl Chance of getting there: 12 percent What it would take: Six or seven wins Why it might not happen: It's doubtful the Cowboys would fall this far in the pecking order, unless they lose a game they're not supposed to lose, like a home game against Troy, Baylor, etc. Others: Cotton Bowl, 9 percent; Independence Bowl, 7 percent; Texas Bowl, 3 percent; No bowl, 1 percent; Fiesta or other BCS bowl, 0.7; National championship game, 0.3.
