The Wooden Award Midseason Top 25, released Wednesday, features a variety of standout athletes who remain in the running to win the national honor at the end of the season.

Marcus Smart is among the frontrunners.

The Oklahoma State guard is considered one of the favorites along with Creighton's Doug McDermott. Smart is one of just three Big 12 players on the list, including DeAndre Kane of Iowa State and Andrew Wiggins of Kansas.

A prominent name missing from the 25-man list is Kansas center Joel Embiid, but he and other players not on the midseason list can still make the final list of 15 players, which will be announced March 8.
