OSU's Walton is Big 12 baseball Player of the Week

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma State shortstop Donnie Walton has been named the Big 12 baseball Player of the Week.

Walton was named Monday after hitting .500 last week in helping OSU go 5-1 in series against Alcorn State and Oakland. Walton had five doubles, a home run and 11 runs batted in and hit safely in all six games.

Kansas' Frank Duncan was named the conference Pitcher of the Week and Texas Tech infielder Ryan Long is the Newcomer of the Week.
