Other state connections in the NCAA Women's Tournament

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State aren’t the state’s only connections in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. Here’s a look at some notable Oklahomans also playing in the tournament:

→Alyssia Brewer, Tennessee: The sophomore center from Sapulpa has become a strong inside force for the top-seed Volunteers. Tournament opener: 11:16 a.m. today vs. Austin Peay

→Lindsay Palmer, Baylor: The Tulsa Union product started a couple games late in the season after coming back from a bout with mononucleosis. Tournament opener: 9:30 tonight vs. Fresno State

→Jenna Plumley, Lamar: The Oklahoma transfer and Frontier High product was the Southland Conference Player of the Year. She has led Lamar back to the tournament for the first time since 1991. Tournament opener: 8:30 p.m. Sunday vs. West Virginia
