Oklahoma and Oklahoma State’s closer-than-expected home victories Saturday did not do much to impress poll voters.

OU, which beat TCU 20-17 Saturday night at Owen Field, stayed at No. 10 in the USA Today Coaches poll and dropped one spot, from 11th to 12th, in the Associated Press poll. Meanwhile, OSU, which needed a late rally and some key defensive plays to beat Kansas State 33-29 at Boone Pickens Stadium, remained at the No. 20 spot in the Coaches poll and dropped one spot, from No. 21 to No. 22, in the AP poll.

The Sooners next play Texas at the Cotton Bowl Saturday, while OSU is idle.

OU remains the Big 12’s highest-ranked team. Baylor (No. 15 in both polls) and Texas Tech (No. 21 Coaches, No. 20 in AP) are also ranked.

The top 9 of both polls is now identical. Alabama and Oregon hold the top two spots, followed by Clemson, Ohio State, Stanford, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville and Texas A&M. LSU is ranked tenth in the AP poll.
