OU 52, Iowa State 0, at Norman:
Carlson: The road to the national championship game opened wide for the Sooners. With other contenders falling, the Sooners were clicking right along.
OSU 34, Texas Tech 17, at Lubbock, Texas
Tramel: The first time anyone could legitimately feel a fundamental difference in this Cowboy season. Winning in Lubbock, in dominating fashion, is no small thing. And Justin Blackmon's superstar status was beginning to develop.

Nebraska 51, OSU 41, at Stillwater:
Carlson: Was that Taylor Martinez or Payton Manning? The Nebraska QB unexpectedly carved up the Cowboys with his arm. Missing 33 tackles didn't help matters either.
Missouri 37, OU 26, at Columbia, Mo.
Tramel: Bad start, bad finish, bad coaching moves. The Sooners stunk it up at Faurot Field and effectively left the national championship race.

OSU 24, Kansas State 14, at Manhattan:
Carlson: No Blackmon? No problem. With his sidekick suspended, Weeden played his best game of the season. Ditto for the Cowboy defense.
OU 43, Colorado 10, at Boulder, Colo.
Tramel: What a boring game. It was 36-3 one minute into the third quarter. Big 12 football will miss trips to Colorado. It will not miss Colorado's football team.

OSU 55, Baylor 28, at Stillwater:
Carlson: An expected showdown became an unexpected smackdown. The Cowboys served notice that they were a serious contender.
Texas A&M 33, OU 19, at College Station, Texas
Tramel: Can't score from the 1-yard line? It happens. Can't score twice from the 1-yard line? Interesting. Get turned away on three goal-line stands? What in the name of Gomer Jones is going on?
NOV. 13
OU 45, Texas Tech 7, at Norman:
Carlson: The Sooners did what they do at home -- dominate. The team that couldn't do anything right the week before did very little wrong against the Red Raiders.
OSU 33, Texas 16, at Austin, Texas
Tramel: Things you thought you'd never see: the Cowboys taking it easy on the Longhorns, after a 33-3 lead in the fourth quarter. But that's exactly what happened.
NOV. 20
OSU 48, Kansas 14, at Lawrence:
Carlson: The Cowboys let the Jayhawks hang around for a quarter, but when the defense stepped up and the offense stepped on the gas, this game was over.
OU 53, Baylor 24, at Waco, Texas
Tramel: Floyd Casey Stadium is precisely the place to fix your road problems. The Sooners dominated until losing interest with a 53-10 lead.
