OU basketball notebook: Sooners offense scores season-low 47 points

GROOMS CONTINUES STEADY PLAY

Point guard Sam Grooms (nine points, eight assists) has dished out 58 assists with only 11 turnovers the past 10 games, a dazzling 5.27 assists-to-turnover ratio.

For the season, Grooms leads the Big 12 in assists-to-turnover ratio (3.11) and ranks in the top 10 nationally.

The Sooners host Texas Tuesday night at Lloyd Noble Center. The Longhorns (6-6 in league play) are viewed by most analysts as a NCAA Tournament bubble team.

OU sophomore guard Cameron Clark scored six points and grabbed six rebounds... Texas Tech guard Javaris Willis, coming off back-to-back scoreless games, scored a career high 21 points... The Red Raiders average a conference worst 17.4 turnovers but had a season low seven turnovers, only one in the second half. The Sooners had 15 turnovers...
