Oklahoma had a celebrity guest stop by practice Saturday in Bill Parcells, who won two Super Bowls as an NFL coach and is the current Miami Dolphins executive vice president of football operations.
"It was great. He’s just evaluating our players I’m sure, but it was great to have him here,” OU coach Bob Stoops said. "I’ve always been a big fan of the way he coaches and the way he handles you media guys too.
"I think it’s always important when you get a legendary figure and a guy that’s a Hall of Fame coach to have our players see and hear from those kind of guys, and he always has a great message for them.”
Parcells’ Dolphins will take on the Baltimore Ravens today in the first round of the AFC playoffs.
Speaking of which, the Ravens spent the night at the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, the same hotel where Florida and OU held press conferences over the weekend.
Starting for the Ravens is ex-Sooner wideout Mark Clayton, who has 41 catches for 695 yards this season.
"Hopefully, he’ll come by and see us,” Stoops said.
