Someone might want their coach. Another Stoops Watch looms.

According to the Rocky Mountain News, the Denver Broncos have "reached out” to Bob Stoops’ people, apparently to gauge Stoops’ interest in becoming the Mile High Man.

Should Sooner fans worry, as if Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators weren’t concern enough?

Well, if you’re the worrying sort, sure, go ahead. If it’s not this, it’ll be something else.

But if you don’t go around singing worryin’ songs, no reason to start now.

At the very, very most, there’s only a 25 percent chance Stoops will coach the Denvers. Simple mathematics.

Let’s say there’s a 50-50 chance Bronco owner and OU alum Pat Bowlen wants Stoops. Let’s say it’s 50-50 Stoops would go. That’s only a 25 percent chance.

And I think 50-50 is too high on both scenarios.

First, it’s still a reach for NFL organizations to hire a college coach. It just doesn’t work out much anymore. Bobby Petrino in Atlanta, Nick Saban in Miami, Steve Spurrier in D.
