Oklahoma cornerback Aaron Colvin admitted last week being “very close” to skipping his senior season and entering the 2013 NFL Draft.

“I can't lie,” Colvin said. “It was a very, very hard decision for me.”

He said he went to this parents “two or three times a day” for advice over the two weeks he was mulling the decision.

Colvin was a first-team All-Big 12 selection last season, when he recorded 52 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions and four pass breakups for the 10-3 Sooners.

He played corner as a true freshman, moved to safety as a sophomore and switched back before his junior season. He's started 26 career games.

Colvin spoke to reporters after practice last Thursday about his decision, spring football and his goals for 2013.
