Five OU players to watch this spring

SS Aaron Colvin: If the Colvin-to-safety experiment goes well this spring, it will give secondary coach Willie Martinez the luxury of playing his five best defensive backs on the field at once.

CB Gabe Lynn: The former No. 1 instate recruit is finally getting the chance to show what he can do with Colvin's move to safety.

QB Blake Bell: The No. 2 QB derby between Bell and Drew Allen this year should be intriguing. Can Bell make a move this spring?

WR Justin McCay: Rivals.com ranked McCay the No. 1 prospect in OU's 2010 recruiting class. McCay, who spent last season fine-tuning his skills at receiver, is a big-time athlete. He just needs some polish.

RB Brandon Williams: The gem of this recruiting class, Williams is talented enough to help the Sooner offense immediately. The OU staff thinks so too, already placing Williams in the two-deep of the depth chart for the spring behind Brennan Clay.
