Five-star running back Joe Mixon, from Oakley, Calif., is ranked 10th. He holds an Oklahoma offer and is scheduled to visit Norman in early October for the Sooners' home game against TCU.

Two prospects from the state of Oklahoma made the Rivals100: Jenks safety Steven Parker is ranked No. 46, and Norman North quarterback David Cornwell is at No. 70.

Parker remains uncommitted but has an OU offer. Cornwell committed to Alabama this summer.

SOURCES: NO TRUTH TO SLATER RUMORS

Did Oklahoma coaches clandestinely add a fourth junior-college transfer offensive lineman to its 2013 squad?

The Internet swarmed with rumors Monday morning that Pearce Slater, a 6-foot-8, 320-pound tackle from El Camino Community College in Torrance, Calif., was in Norman and set to join the Sooners in practice.

Slater committed to Kansas and sent his financial agreement papers in July, but has possibly already left the Jayhawks.

Slater is still listed on the Jayhawks' online roster, though.

Interestingly, a “Pearce Slater” from Hawthorne, Calif., shows up in an OU student search on the school's official website.

On Monday morning, though, a very reliable OU source told The Oklahoman, “He is not here,” and added, “I think he went to Kansas and already left.”

Later Monday, a second OU source confirmed that Pearce isn't joining the football team, nor is he enrolled at the university.

Oklahoma signed three junior-college offensive linemen in its 2013 recruiting class, with guard Dionte Savage and tackle Josiah St. John signing in February and guard Tony Feo joining the team this summer. All three are on campus, practicing and apparently making a strong push for immediate playing time.
