“The quarterback draw has always been part of their offense,” said OU defensive coordinator Mike Stoops. “They're very strategic in how they use it and try to keep you off balance with it.
“They're running it more with him than they have in the past. I think we have to limit his plays out of the pocket. But we don't see him moving all over the pocket trying to get rid of the football. I think he's a pocket thrower, and they keep you off balance with his ability to run. We saw that a year ago.”
JUCO TIGHT END ISAAC IJALANA DECOMMITS
Junior college tight end Isaac Ijalana announced Monday night he is no longer verbally committed to OU.
Ijalana made his decommitted via Twitter, stating: “After thinking about things, I feel like the best decision for me is to back away from my commitment to Oklahoma.”
The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Ijalana has spent this season at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Calif.
He also has offers from Illinois, Akron and Bowling Green.
OU senior running back Brennan Clay, asked if he likes that OSU's program has drastically improved over the last few years:
“I'm glad that they're good. Football is a great sport. Going against them, it's probably gonna come down to the wire again.”
