Junior college tight end Isaac Ijalana had second thoughts after committing to Oklahoma in mid-November.
Two weeks after his commitment, Ijalana said he needed more time to make up his mind and reopened his recruitment.
Sunday, Ijalana committed to the Sooners once more.
“It's a great feeling to be a Sooner again! #BoomerSooner,” Ijalana posted on Twitter.
Ijalana (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) played this season at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Calif., after spending last year at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pa.
He's originally from Mount Holly, N.J., and his brother, Ben Ijalana, is an offensive lineman for the New York Jets.
Ijalana is expected to be in Norman for the spring semester.
MCCARRON ROOTING FOR AUBURN
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron spent quite a bit of time this week with Auburn running back Tre Mason as the two made their way to several award ceremonies, including Saturday's presentation of the Heisman Trophy.
And though the two are rivals and Auburn knocked Alabama out of the BCS National Championship game and into the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma, there's no doubt who McCarron will be rooting for when Auburn plays Florida State for the title.
“That might be the one night I wear orange and blue,” McCarron said Saturday during an appearance on the CBS pregame show before the Army-Navy game.
WOODS WINS KALSU AWARD
Deep snapper Austin Woods was one of several Oklahoma players honored at the team's annual dinner and awards ceremony Friday.
Woods was named the winner of the Bob Kalsu Award as the player “who personifies Kalsu's spirit of leadership, serving as a motivator and role model for his teammates.”
Woods was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in summer 2012, underwent chemotherapy through September while still attending team workouts. His cancer was officially declared in remission Nov. 1, 2012, and he remains cancer free.
Kalsu was an All-American offensive tackle for the Sooners in 1967. He was killed in the Vietnam War in 1970.
Walk-on David Driskill was awarded the Derrick Shepard Most Inspiration Walk-On Player of the Year Award; Michael Hunnicutt and Jalen Saunders won Special Teams Player of the Year honors; and Gabe Ikard and Trey Millard were honored for winning the Don Key Award.
Driskill, Daniel Brooks, JP Hughes and Ruben Hunter were named Scout Team Players of the Year.
