Offensive line shines in scrimmage
The Sooners held a mini-scrimmage of 40-50 plays Tuesday night. Afterward, coach Bob Stoops praised the performance of the offensive line.

"I thought overall it was really competitive,” Stoops said. "I was proud of the offensive line, how they fought. They fought with a good defensive line all day, and there was good give-and-take both ways.”

Stevens gaining confidence
Sophomore place-kicker Jimmy Stevens has been perfect on all field-goal attempts during both of OU’s open practices. During Monday’s open practice, he capped his performance with a 53-yard bomb that split the uprights.

Stevens admitted kicking that well in front of fans has boosted his confidence.

"Even with a small amount of people out there, to kick that way as well as I did,” Stevens said, "has helped with my confidence the rest of camp and the season.”

McCoy, Beal named to Nagurski watch list
Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and defensive end Jeremy Beal were named to the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list on Tuesday.

In all, 62 players made the watch list for the Nagurski, which annually honors the best defensive player in college football.
