Oklahoma's signing class got a late boost Wednesday evening when Fresno (Calif.) Central East cornerback L.J. Moore picked the Sooners.

Moore (6-foot-1, 175 pounds) picked the Sooners over Oregon State, Cal and Arizona State.

In the end, Moore decided to join Central East teammate Hatari Byrd in the Sooners' secondary.

Byrd, who signed with the Sooners earlier in the day, is a safety.

Twice, Moore cancelled visits to Norman before finally making it to campus Jan. 11.

He visited Arizona State and Cal in the weeksn immediately after coming to Norman but in the end, decided to sign with the Sooners.

Moore had 47 tackles, three interceptions and returned a fumble for a touchdown as a senior and also played quarterback on offense.

Moore's signing was a positive end to what had been a rough day with Sooners targets who entered signing day undecided.

Athlete Adrian Baker chose Clemson, offensive tackle Josh Outlaw signed with Texas Tech and offensive tackle George Adeosun decided to go with Virginia over Oklahoma.
