Members of the OU lacrosse team and its coaching staff, as well as former coaches and other coaches from the area, will host two camps:
•The Sooner camp will be for players entering first through ninth grade. Some experience is preferred, but players with no or limited experience are welcome to attend.
•The Rookie camp will be designed for players entering first through third grade with no experience.
The camps will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at Cheyenne Middle School, 1271 W Covell Rd.
There will be instruction sessions, competitions, mini-games and scrimmages.
The camp will be full contact, and all protective gear is required including a fitted color mouth guard. Each camper will receive a T-shirt and reversible practice jersey. Campers also will get a chance to win free equipment each night.
Campers will need to bring a plastic water bottle with their name on it. Lunch will be provided both days.
The camp is open to all boys entering grades first through ninth. Cost is $250. Deadline to register is Friday, but late registration will be accepted as space permits.
