NORMAN–The Oklahoma men’s basketball team will hold its third annual Sooner Basketball Family Weekend on Aug. 23-24, Sooners coach Lon Kruger announced Wednesday.

The weekend will include a golf event at Jimmie Austin Golf Club, a Wayman Tisdale Scholarship Fund dinner at Lloyd Noble Center and an alumni game. All three events are open to the public, including free admission to the Legends Alumni Game.

“This event has been tremendously successful and is one of the most fun things we get to do each year,” Kruger said in a release. “Welcoming back all the players and coaches who helped lay the foundation for this tradition-heaped basketball program is truly exciting for us and we’re happy to offer the opportunity for them to re-connect with each other, reminisce about their time as Sooners and share the weekend experience with our current team and fans.

“This is a yearly highlight for everyone involved.”

Entries into the gold event are $200 per player. Friday’s dinner is $50 for person. To register orfor sponsorship opportunities, call 405-325-4732.
