Forward Juan Pattillo’s impact on the Sooners has been major, giving the squad a versatile force off the bench.

Pattillo has made key contributions to each of OU’s last five wins.

Saturday, he played 27 minutes, his high as a Sooner.

Is the next step for Pattillo starting?

"We’re 23-1 with the same guys starting,” said OU coach Jeff Capel, "so we feel pretty good about that. He gives us a weapon coming off the bench.

"There may be a time this season where he may start for us, I don’t know. It just kind of depends on how things go as the season goes along.”

SHOOTING STARS
The Sooners shot 57.1 percent from the floor against Colorado, their third-best mark of the season.

OU has now produced a better field goal percentage than its opponents in 11 straight games.

The Sooners lead the Big 12 in field goal percentage at 48.8 percent overall. Blake Griffin leads the league individually at 63.3 percent.

WACKY WACO
OU returns to the road Wednesday, going for its 30th straight win over Baylor.

The Bears have never beaten the Sooners in the Big 12 — home or away.

The last two games in Waco, however, have at least been interesting.

In 2007, the Sooners rallied from a big deficit to win.

Last year, Griffin made a surprising speedy recovery from a sprained knee to not only play but produce team highs of 17 points and 15 rebounds in just 22 minutes of a 77-71 win.

"The past two times we’ve played down there, my first two years, they’ve been really interesting and fun,” Capel said. "Fun because we’ve won.”
