— The Oklahoma men's basketball team officially announced the signings of three players Thursday after receiving their completed paperwork.

Dante Buford, Khadeem Lattin and Jamuni McNeace signed with the Sooners.

“They fit perfectly in terms of what we're looking for,” OU coach Lon Kruger said in a statement.

Buford is a 6-foot-7 guard/forward from Greenville, S.C. He plays for Arlington Country Day in Jacksonville, Fla.

Buford averaged 14.2 points and 9.0 rebounds last season and shot 41 percent from behind the 3-point line.

“He runs the floor very well and rebounds the ball aggressively,” Kruger said. “He's just a complete, all-around type player who brings a lot of things to the table.”

Lattin, a 6-foot-9 power forward from Houston, averaged 12.0 points and 12.0 rebounds as a junior.

“He's a Dennis Rodman type,” Redemption Home School Academy coach Ed Chung said in the statement. “Offensively, he's got to still develop. But his potential is unlimited. He can rebound, he can block shots and he can guard little guys.”

McNeace is a 6-foot-9 center from Allen, Texas, where he's coached by former Norman coach Jeff McCullough.

“Similar to Khadeem, he's more of a shot-blocker right now,” Kruger said. “But he loves to play and loves to work and he has great upside.”

After beating Idaho on Wednesday night, the Sooners have more than a week off before resuming play in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic against Seton Hall on Nov. 22 in Brooklyn.
