Due to weather conditions, the Oklahoma-Texas Tech game, which the Sooners won 86-71, tipped off with only two referees. The third was en route from an airport in Abilene, Texas, during the game. His plane was rerouted from Lubbock due to the fog surrounding the Lubbock area.

The fog also forced the Sooners to drive back from Lubbock instead of fly.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES

Last year, the Sooners gave Texas Tech its only conference victory when the teams played in Lubbock. This year, several OU players padded their statistics against the Red Raiders.

Senior Steven Pledger had a season-high 22 points. He also had a season-high six 3-pointers. He went 6-of-13 from beyond the arc. Junior guard Amath M'Baye also recorded the first double-double of his Oklahoma career (15 points and 13 boards). The rebounds were also a career high.

Cameron Clark also had a solid outing — going 5-of-6 for 10 points.

SLOPPIER THAN BEDLAM

On Saturday, Oklahoma had nine turnovers in its Bedlam game vs. Oklahoma State. Wednesday at Tech, it didn’t get any better for the Sooners.
