TCU fans already eyeing Sooners
The TCU band hadn't even played the final notes on the alma mater Saturday night in Dallas, when Horned Frogs fans spun ahead with a chant.

"Beat OU.”

TCU players and coaches, however, preferred to savor the moment, with a 48-7 rout of archrival SMU pushing its record to 4-0 — the program's best start since 2003. The Frogs have also pushed their way into the rankings, holding the No. 24 spot in the AP Poll, No. 23 with the coaches.

TCU took advantage of three SMU turnovers, turning an interception return into an early touchdown.

"You get to 4-0 and not many people in the country are 4-0,” TCU coach Gary Patterson told reporters after the game. "You do it any way you can.

"You should never look the gift horse in the mouth, so we're happy where we're at, and we've got to get healthy and get ready for a good Oklahoma team.”

•No-huddle happiness: So far, the Sooners' no-huddle offense has produced no complaints.

Three games have produced 50-plus points and three comfortable wins.

OU coach Bob Stoops said credit for the early success belongs with offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson, "one of the first ones doing it, before it was even popular.”

Stoops also lauded the trigger man, quarterback Sam Bradford.

"A year ago, he was a redshirt freshman, hasn't played at all,” Stoops said. "Not that he's got a season under his belt and playing in such an efficient and great way, we've got a good guy behind there managing it.
