Sooners, Huskers meet in title game for 1st time
Of the first 10 Big 12 Conference championship football games, Oklahoma and Nebraska have played in a total of seven of them.
So it's hard to believe this will be the first time since the conference was formed in 1996 that the two teams — who routinely played with Big 8 titles on the line during the 1970s and '80s — have met in the title game.
