Iglesias second on school receiving list
Wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias moved into second on the OU all-time career receiving yards list, with six catches for 133 yards Saturday, giving the senior 2,112 career yards.
Iglesias passed Antwone Savage, who had 2,009 yards.
Second, however, is probably where Iglesias will have to stay. He's still 1,129 yards behind the school's leader, Mark Clayton.
Griffin the great
Even though freshman quarterback Robert Griffin had his poorest outing of the year, several OU defenders remarked they were his impressed by his talent.
“That guy is fast. He escaped me a couple of times,” said defensive end Jeremy Beal, who had one of OU's two sacks on Griffin. “He had a couple of big runs, but I thought we did a good job overall of just containing him.”
Griffin finished with 75 yards passing, 102 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
“I think Robert Griffin is an excellent athlete,” Stoops said. “He made some nice plays and he is going to do that against everybody.”
The way Manny Johnson saw it, the Sooners came up short in one category against Baylor.
“We only scored 49 points,” Johnson said. “After getting 28 in the first quarter, you'd have thought that we'd get more than that.”
With 199 points through four games, the Sooners were only one point shy of a half-a-hundred average. Only TCU, in last week's 35-10 OU win, had held the Sooners under 50.
