Every year, Oklahoma plucks some of the top high school talent out of the state of Texas.

And while the Sooners didn't have the caliber recruiting performance in Texas they've had the previous two years, OU still picked up one Top 25 Lone Star prospect in offensive tackle Tyrus Thompson.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound product of Pflugerville, Texas, a suburb of Austin, rounds out what is an impressive offensive line class for the Sooners.

Thompson, who committed to OU last February over Baylor, Houston and Texas Tech, has the size and quickness of a big-time college tackle. But he may need time to refine the rest of his game before contributing.

Thompson is ranked the No. 15 tackle nationally by ESPNU, and the No. 18 tackle nationally by Rivals.com.
