The University of Oklahoma's School of Social Work will offer two $1,500 scholarships each fall to two graduate students who plan to become counselors with an emphasis on substance abuse.

Sherri Cone, an OU graduate and licensed alcohol and drug counselor who works in Altus and Lawton, established the scholarship endowment. Cone said an OU committee will select the recipients, who also will receive a copy of her book "Only One Way Out Addictions: The Christ Realignment Model."

Cone provides alcohol and drug assessments and substance abuse classes to help people get their driver's licenses back following an arrest for an alcohol- or drug-related offense.

For information about the scholarship, call 325-2821.
