OU, OSU each appear in ESPN's 'Position U' defensive rankings

On Tuesday, ESPN released its "Position U" offense rankings in an attempt to grade the best programs by position in the 2000s.

Oklahoma was well represented on that side of the ball, taking home "Quarterback U" honors, but how did the Sooners -- and Oklahoma State Cowboys -- fare when under the defensive microscope?

Results were good again for the Sooners under the ESPN scoring system, as OU ranked in the top five on the defensive line (fourth), linebackers (tied for second with Alabama) and defensive backs (second). Ohio State dominated the defensive side of "Position U," racking up the most points in linebackers, defensive backs and kickers. LSU was rated the top school on the defensive line.

Oklahoma State was ranked No. 4 in kickers, with points coming from the decorated trio of Matt Fodge, Dan Bailey and Quinn Sharp.
