OU, OSU have several players on preseason All-Big 12 football team

The preseason All-Big 12 football team was released on Tuesday and the list is loaded with state players.

Oklahoma led the league with nine selections to the team, while Oklahoma State and Texas A&M had four players selected.

The state schools also fared well in preseason player of the year voting. OSU's Justin Blackmon was named the preseason offensive player of the year, while OU's Travis Lewis was named the preseason defensive player of the year.

Incoming Texas freshman running back Malcolm Brown was named the preseason newcomer of the year.

The Oklahoman's John Helsley and Jenni Carlson were among the media members to vote on the poll.
