Whenever Broyles does return, he’ll be coming back to a receiving group that has improved without him the last two weeks. Even though the unit is still dropping too many passes, multiple receivers elevated their game in Broyles’ absence.

Kenney had a breakout performance at Miami with six catches, 72 yards and a touchdown.

Last weekend against Baylor, Brandon Caleb was Bradford’s go-to target with seven catches for 139 yards; but sophomore Dejuan Miller (five catches, 67 yards) and true freshman Jaz Reynolds (three catches, 39 yards) had the finest games in their young careers.

"With the loss of Ryan, we felt like we had to pick up the load and the burden,” Miller said. "When Ryan comes back, we’re going to be a lot stronger than we were before.”
