A+ Kickoff coverage. After a season of disasters, OU was superb on its 10 kickoffs. Matt Mooreland put three in the end zone, three at the 1-yard line and the other four inside the 6-yard line, though one went out of bounds. NU's longest return was 29 yards, and its average was 20.7.

C Youngstown neutrality. Ron Stoops Jr. was at the game, sporting a Cardinal Mooney shirt. He and Bo Pelini are fast friends, but blood is blood.

A Kevin Wilson. The OU offensive coordinator called a particularly interesting game. He hit Nebraska with two reverses among the first nine snaps, and Sam Bradford darted 13 yards on a first-quarter quarterback draw. NU's defense was on its heels.

B Pass rush. The Sooners only sacked Joe Ganz once (Frank Alexander did the honors) but kept the NU quarterback on the run quite a bit.

D OU-Nebraska rivalry. The only salvation was the halftime introduction of the 1971 players. Otherwise, this ancient series took another step back, to the 1996-97 days of 73-21 and 69-7 Husker routs.

B Running game. Bob Stoops seemed to order a scaled-back offense after OU's 35-point first quarter, but the Sooners still ran the ball with effectiveness. OU tailbacks combined for 172 yards on 35 carries, an average of 4.9 yards.
