Sam Bradford: A
Bradford handled the atmosphere of Husky Stadium — it was noisy before the blowout — and the pressure of wiping out his poor 2007 road performances. Bradford completed 18 of 21 for 304 yards and a school-record tying five touchdowns. Bradford completed his last 12 passes.
Excluding two journeys to Hawaii, this was the longest OU road trip in history, yet the Sooner crowd responded. They filled Pike Place Market in the days before the game, then turned out perhaps 10,000 en masse at Husky Stadium. When a Washington fan strolled past one OU pre-game gathering chanting, “Boise State, Boise State,” one Sooner fan responded, “Thunder, Thunder.”
The Sooners didn’t commit a turnover, but they kept the Pac-10 officiating crew busy with penalty flags. OU drew 11 penalties, for 110 yards. Among the Sooner infractions: three holds, three personal fouls, two offsides, one facemask, one illegal shift, one defensive delay of game and a partridge in a pear tree.
Offensive line: A
UW’s defense has more holes than Starbucks stock, but still. The holes opened by Duke Robinson, Jon Cooper, Phil Loadholt, Trent Williams, Brandon Walker and Co.
