Martinez to coach secondary, Wright moves to DEs
Willie Martinez, the newest hire for the Oklahoma coaching staff, will coach defensive backs. Bobby Jack Wright, formerly the defensive backs coach, will fill the hole left by Chris Wilson at defensive ends.

Wilson left to become the defensive line coach and co-defensive coordinator at Mississippi State last month. Martinez was the defensive coordinator at Georgia from 2005-09 and secondary coach from 2000-09 before coming to Oklahoma.

"They have very similar concepts and run their defense very similar to what we do,” said Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops. "He’s a very knowledgeable guy with great experience and I think he’ll help strengthen our staff. I’m excited about it.”

Wright previously coached defensive ends for Oklahoma from 1999-2004.

Spring practice lineup becomes clearer
Center Ben Habern, offensive lineman Jarvis Jones and defensive tackle Adrian Taylor all are expected to miss spring practice with injuries.
