OU student dies in Colorado snowboarding accident

A 22-year-old University of Oklahoma student died Wednesday night after a Colorado snowboarding accident caused massive head trauma.

William "Billy” Khourie III, an Elk City native, was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred Tuesday afternoon at Breckenridge, said Julie Lonborg, spokeswoman for Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo.

Breckenridge Ski Resort officials said the ski patrol was called to an advanced-intermediate trail and took him to Breckenridge Medical Center before he was transferred to SwedishMedical...
