NORMAN — A University of Oklahoma student will be a contestant on the "Wheel of Fortune” game show scheduled to air at 6:30 tonight on KOCO-5. Kristin Bernard, a psychology junior from Wichita Falls, Texas, shown at right, said she looks forward to the episode’s airing because then she can finally discuss the competition results with friends and family.

But in general, they already know she had a great time. "The experience was incredible, a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” she said.

"I wanted to take in every moment and enjoy the experience, no matter what the result.” She said the show was taped Jan. 21 in Los Angeles and said the process started in October when Bernard and friends went to a traveling "Wheelmobile” that stopped near Shawnee in search of possible contestants.

She was called for a second audition in December in Oklahoma City and then was notified that she made the show.
