LUBBOCK, Texas — Last season, Oklahoma embarrassed Texas Tech.

Saturday, Tech retuned the favor.

The Red Raiders handed OU its worst loss since 2005, rolling to a 41-13 victory at Jones Stadium.

The Sooners — who hammered Tech 65-21 to end the Red Raiders’ national championship aspirations last season — were dominated in every facet of the game.

Tech racked up 549 yards of offense, including 187 on the ground, against a Sooner defense ranked sixth nationally coming into the weekend.

The Red Raiders’ defense also shut down OU’s offense, which continued its struggles away from Norman.

Quarterback Landry Jones completed just 18 of 35 passes, and running backs Chris Brown and DeMarco Murray combined for 51 yards rushing on 18 carries.

Saturday’s 28-point defeat tied for the third-most lopsided loss in the Bob Stoops era.

Only USC in 2004 (55-19) and Texas in 2005 (45-12) were worse.
