OU survives scare from K-State, wins 42-30
NORMAN — On Halloween night, Oklahoma survived quite the scare from Kansas State.

Despite leading by three touchdowns in the first quarter, the Sooners had to hold off the Wildcats late for a 42-30 victory at Owen Field to move to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Big 12.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Landry Jones had a big night, completing 26 of 37 passes for 294 yards and four touchdowns.
Yet in the second half, K-State's Brandon Banks haunted the Sooners with a bag of big plays, including a kickoff return for touchdown that brought the Wildcats to within 35-30.
But Jones came right back engineering an 11-play, 68-yard touchdown drive to put the game away.
"We started the game in a really good way," coach Bob Stoops said. "And in the second half, we answered back when we had to."
