Columbus, Ohio, will be home to the first meeting between Oklahoma and its first NCAA Tournament opponent — Central Michigan.
The 11th-seeded Chippewas earned an automatic bid via their win in the Mid-American Conference tournament championship game by beating Akron.

The sophomore guard leads the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks. As a freshman, she had the second most blocks in a single season for CMU.

*NCAA Tournament history: third appearance, with the last in 1983. The Chippewas actually made back-to-back appearances in 1982 and 1983, but lost both of their opening round games.

*Best NCAA run: 1982 — lost to Maryland, 94-71, in the opening round. 1983 — lost to Alabama in the opening round.

*Best all-time player: Sue Nissen (1988-1991), CMU's only All-American and she earned it as a freshman. She is the Chippewas all-time leading scorer with 1,938. She was the MAC Freshman of the Year in 1998, was voted All-Mid American First Team three times and inducted into the CMU Hall of Fame in 2001.
*Best non-basketball alum: Jeff Daniels, actor who is known for his role with Jim Carey in “Dumb and Dumber,” but more recently known as Will McAvoy on “The Newsroom” and the voice behind many new Apple commercials.
*History: This will mark the first time Oklahoma and Central Michigan have faced each other.
