HAND IS ON FIRE

Hand scored a career-high 27 points against Miami after matching her previous career high (24 points) in a first-round NCAA Tournament win over James Madison.

"I feel our team is playing in a way you get shots in rhythm," Hand said. "It's been nice to be a shooter in our system. We're clicking in all areas. Because of that I'm playing well right now."

IRISH'S MULTITALENTED POINT GUARD

Notre Dame sophomore point guard Skylar Diggins' father was a disc jockey. When she was in middle school she began experimenting with the equipment and eventually became a DJ herself, playing school parties, birthdays and weddings.

"My teammates know I'm a music head," Diggins said. "(I) do a little singing, too. I don't do it as much now because I don't have as much free time."

OU senior forward Carlee Roethlisberger is from Findlay, Ohio, approximately 105 miles north of Dayton. ... Diggins, who was considering both OU and Notre Dame, attended the 2007 NCAA matchup in West Lafayette, Ind., a game the Irish won.
