OU's Bob Stoops addresses Mike Leach's impact on Big 12, bye week

Mike Leach worked only one season for Bob Stoops at Oklahoma before leaving to become Texas Tech ’s head coach.

Leach, though, had more impact on the Sooners returning to national prominence than most realize.

Stoops hired Leach as his first offensive coordinator after watching Leach’s work at Kentucky under Hal Mumme when Stoops was at Florida .
