Before their first practice, Williams got the linemen together and told them, "We can only go up from here.”

And according to several accounts, the Sooner line had a strong, intense opening week to the spring.

"These younger guys are learning,” said offensive line coach James Patton. "It’s moving from the off-season to winter conditioning to spring ball and then the summer part of it.

"Now they know what the expectation is and they’ll continue to get better.”

OU to hold Pro Day
Oklahoma will hold its annual Pro Day on Tuesday for NFL scouts. Among former Sooners expected to participate are center Jon Cooper, safety Nic Harris, safety Lendy Holmes, wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias, wide receiver Manuel Johnson, offensive tackle Phil Loadholt, guard Duke Robinson and guard Brandon Walker.
