With their first possession, the Sooners announced their intentions to pound away with a physical ground game.

OU ran off tackle on its first six snaps from scrimmage, moving from their own 49 to the Washington 13.

OU finished the drive with a 13-yard scoring pass from Sam Bradford to Juaquin Iglesias, but a tone had been set.

In the first half alone, the Sooners piled up 188 rushing yards on 29 carries, most between the tackles.

They finished the game with 274 yards on 47 carries.
