OU's Ryan Broyles sets Sooners receiving record

University of Oklahoma junior wide receiver Ryan Broyles broke the school record for career catches early in the first quarter Saturday against Texas Tech.

With the 222nd catch of his career, Broyles broke the previous mark set by former Sooner Mark Clayton, who had 221 catches over his career from 2001-2004.

OU jumped out to an early 7-0 lead on Tech after Sooner quarterback Landry Jones found running back DeMarco Murray on a swing pass. After making the one-handed grab, Murry shook a couple tackles and found the end zone.
